USAID’S Feteh (“Justice”) Activity

The United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Feteh (Justice) Activity is a two-year rule of law project being implemented in Ethiopia from February 12, 2019 until February 11, 2021. Its purpose is purpose of providing flexible, rapid response technical assistance to the Ethiopian Attorney General’s Office (AGO), relevant sub-committees within the AGO, the Federal Supreme Court of Ethiopia (FSCE) and relevant subcommittees, and other related government ministries in the process of reforming the justice system. An important part of this activity is working with civil society organizations (CSOs) and the representatives of the Ethiopian press to ensure public input on the democratic reform process, and to improve citizen engagement and public consultation regarding proposed changes to the country’s legal and judicial framework.
